There’s No Business Like Show Business
Violet Starr was so excited about booking her first film role that she wasn’t concerned about a scene that required her to be held in bondage. But as the naive ingenue leaned against an indoor boulder, tied hand and foot in her short pink dress and mouthing a ball-gag, she was stunned when friend April Olsen burst onto the set. After shutting down the scene, April addressed scathing remarks about the script’s quality to the director and started to free Violet. But the devious director made an adjustment to the production on the run by turning indignant April into her friend’s co-star, placing her in identical restraint next to April and scornfully praising their struggles, which only intensified after their breasts were bared.
Even though the film’s villain was late to the set, the director decided to continue crafting scenes with his two unhappy starlets. The latest revision to his script seated April, tied and tape-gagged in her bra and panties, at the end of a carpeted trench; Violet was then ordered to come to her rescue but of course wound up gagged and bound next to her friend. Although April and Violet weren’t acting during their determined maneuvers to escape, the director commended their efforts and rewarded their convincing performance by once again exposing their breasts. Recognizing that escape had eluded them, the reluctant actresses curled up next to each other and hoped that there’d be another opportunity to withdraw from the crazed production.
For a few moments, it seemed that fortune had smiled on Violet and April when a confused production assistant allowed them to put their clothes back on, then left them alone. But before the anxious ladies could sneak away, bad luck returned in the person of the irate director. Bound, tape-gagged and blindfolded, April and Violet stood next to each other, both hitched to a wooden bed-frame; once the blindfolds were removed, the girls were embarrassed by their mutual restrictive nudity. They tugged in frustration against the tethers, which were later removed from the frame so that the scene could be completed as the weary performers huddled together on the floor.
The director’s ego was swollen by the impressive results of his decision to pair April with Violet so he doubled down on the bedroom scene by placing both naked starlets hogtied and tape-gagged on the bed. The wannabes responded to this shameful improvisation in different ways, April by arching angrily and rolling onto her side, Violet by twisting slowly as her eyes conveyed the contempt she felt for the crass film-maker. After they were freed from the hogties, their time before the camera ended with the nude pawns of an absent villain curled up against the bed’s headboard. To their amazed relief, April and Violet were released from bondage and allowed to leave by the delusional director, who promised them a share of what would undoubtedly be the film’s huge profits.
